The Event Crew today announced that Ramsay Health Care has extended its sponsorship and involvement in the Triathlon Pink National All Female Triathlon Series for a further 3 years through to the end of the 2018 season. The Event Crew who have run the National Women’s series for the past four years continue to grow Triathlon Pink, with seven events throughout Australia including events in Sydney(2), Melbourne, Perth, Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast.

The 2016-2017 season marks 10 years of Triathlon Pink being held in Australia. Ramsay Health Care has been the Naming Rights Partner of the series since its beginning, so it is fitting that in this milestone year, Ramsay Health Care have re-committed their sponsorship of the series.

“This is a significant agreement for our organization as it allows us to continue our development of the Triathlon Pink All Female Series,” said Brendon Downey, Managing Director for The Event Crew.

“We are excited by the opportunity this brings as we continue to welcome so many people to our event, the sport of triathlon and the personal challenge that many achieve at our fun safe friendly event series. Not only that, but we can continue to provide an amazing platform for fundraising for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, in support of Breast Cancer Research,” commented Downey.

During the 2015-2016 season, Triathlon Pink raised over $163,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, which takes the total fundraising from the event to $1.76 million for breast cancer charities since 2007.

Carmel Monaghan of Ramsay Health Care said the organisation is pleased to be able to extend the agreement.

“Ramsay is very proud to have been associated with Triathlon Pink since its inception and congratulates the Triathlon Pink team on their fundraising achievements which have provided such an important boost to research into the prevention, detection, treatment and cure of breast cancer,” said Monaghan.

“The Ramsay Triathlon Pink series offers a range of events and distances to enable people of all ages to participate and encourages and provides women with an opportunity to compete often for the first time in a supportive environment. We are happy to be extending sponsorship for a further three years and look forward to our ongoing partnership.”

“Breast cancer is the most common life-threatening cancer facing Australian women today, and research is the only way to stop deaths from breast cancer. Events such as Triathlon Pink give communities an incredible opportunity to help NBCF fund life-changing breast cancer research, while having fun and getting active. We are grateful for the support of Triathlon Pink and Ramsay Health Care as they join us on our path towards zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030,” said Moana Wood, Head of Individual Giving and Community Fundraising for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
